In this design, the kitchen found a catchy symmetry, and we worked that into our cabinet and appliance configuration. By separating two 27” refrigerator/freezer columns and placing them at either end of the cooking counter, we created an open work center for a magnetic induction cooktop and vented hood.An inset TV above the hood provides island-based visibility. Seating for two at a floating glass countertop is the perfect spot for coffee and the morning news, or the evening news with a glass of wine from the nearby dry-bar and wine cooler.
